Chief Jeffrey S. Trotnic has been
a resident of Duenweg since 1991. He has been a commissioned police officer in
the State of Missouri since 1988, when he was hired by the Joplin Police
Department. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant at the Joplin Police
Department.
Chief Trotnic graduated from Southeast Rural High School in Cherokee, Kansas in
1985. He graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a bachelor’s
degree in Criminal Justice. He is currently working on his Master’s degree in
Criminal Justice through Central Missouri State University.
Chief Trotnic has been married to Julie since 1989 and has three children. He
is a member of the Duenweg First Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon. He
took the position as Chief of Police January 17, 2005 and is trying to make a
positive impact on the citizens of Duenweg and those that visit.
